BAC Mono R SMASHES Production Car Lap Record at Red Bull Ring

Published on 12th October 2021. The limited-edition BAC Mono R claims yet another production car lap record, hitting the top of the leaderboard at the Red Bull Ring in style. With British racing driver Adam Christodoulou at the wheel, the 343bhp, 555kg R lapped the 2.7-mile Formula One circuit in just 1:32.96 to set a new best by almost six seconds. BAC were on location in Austria with tyre partner Pirelli, as part of the P Zero Experience Central Europe.

Not content with a trip to the gravel trap at Tarzan corner in the morning, Spencer went back out in a Ginetta G40R Drivers Club Car in the afternoon only to send it into the wall at the second corner of his first flying lap! Thankfully Spencer was fine, as were his two passengers in the incidents- racing drivers Rick Parfitt Jr. and Adam Morgan.

  • Published 17th September 2024. This month marks 100 years since Malcolm Campbell's original Sunbeam Bluebird took to Pendine Sands to set a world speed record of 146.16mph. A fitting reason to return with our very own Super 3 Bluebird, piloted by Malcolm's grandson, Donald Wales. It was Wales' uncle, Donald Campbell, and his creation Bluebird CN7, that inspired the Super 3 Bluebird commission. And whilst we weren't trying to set a land speed record in Super 3, the film pays homage to an incredible British pioneer.
