The first generation Civic was launched back in 1972, and since then over 20 million models have been sold across the world, making it the most successful automobile built by Honda. Production of the the Civic began at the Swindon plant in 1994. Launched in 2017, the tenth generation 5-door Civic is a clever and versatile family car which has been designed exclusively for the demanding European market.

Rigorous testing on roads Honda's customers drive everyday has helped make the tenth generation Civic quieter, more refined, more efficient and more dynamic than ever before.

Wider, longer, and lower than any of its predecessors, the all-new Civic has short overhangs and taut lines and the new wider, longer platform results in class-leading interior space. The entirely new interior features a simple, uncluttered layout, new technologies, exceptional refinement and high-grade materials and incorporates the second-generation of Honda’s infotainment and connectivity system including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Boot space remains class-leading in terms of volume (478 litres), as well as ease of access and versatility.

The all-new Civic is the first model in Europe to offer Honda’s 1.0 litre three-cylinder and 1.5 litre four-cylinder petrol turbocharged engines. The 1.0 litre VTEC turbo powerplant is now capable of a Combined fule consumption of 60.1mpg (4.7L/100km) and CO2 emissions as low as 106g/km. The car is driven via a re-engineered six-speed manual gearbox, with a CVT auto box offered as an option.

The 1.0 litre VTEC TURBO hatchback model is available in four grades: S, Comfort, Elegance and Executive. Even the entry-level S grade is generously equipped, and includes automatic headlights, adaptive cruise control and the Honda SENSING suite of advanced active safety technologies.

The 1.5 litre VTEC TURBO hatchback model is offered in three grades: Sport, Sport Plus and Prestige.

Sport models are equipped with 17-inch alloys, front and rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, the Honda Connect 2 infotainment suite, dual zone air conditioning, LED headlamp clusters, twin centre exhaust outlets and a sports body kit that includes a chin spoiler, rear bumper spats and side garnishes.

The new Civic is also available with the second-generation of Honda’s Connect infotainment and connectivity system, which offers enhanced intuitive operation and full smartphone integration via both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto.
