Inspired by F-TYPE, the Jaguar F-PACE is a performance SUV that has the DNA of a sports car. From the bonnet bulge to the pronounced rear haunches, its powerful looks make it distinctive and give it a head-turning road presence. F-PACE reinvents the energy, strength and purity of form of F-TYPE. F-PACE's aerodynamic performance is a key function of its body design and supports an impressive drag coefficient of Cd 0.34. Highly advanced aerodynamics reduce fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and wind noise while adding to high speed stability and driver confidence.
The range of range of engines includes the 3.0 litre V6 380 PS Supercharged Petrol and the new 2.0 litre 4 cylinder 180PS Turbocharged Diesel Ingenium engine, which can achieve 57.7mpg and CO2emissions as low as 129g/km. Performance from the 3.0 litre V6 above is a 0-60mph (97km/h) time of just 5.1 seconds, with a top speed of 155mph (250km/h). A 3.0 litre V6 twin turbo diesel is also available. In Spring 2017, Jaguar introduced a 2.0 litre four cylinder turbocharged petrol engine to further widen the choice of powerplants.
There is a choice of Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) or All Wheel Drive (AWD) driven through an eight speed automatic gearbox, which can also be controlled manually via steering wheel paddles.
F-PACE has one of the most comprehensive interior choices in its class. Featuring contemporary British craftsmanship, handpicked premium materials, supple leathers and sophisticated finishes. In the back, leg and knee room are 945mm and 65mm respectively and there's the space for three adults to sit together comfortably, while the rear seats also feature optional electric recline. F-PACE has class-leading boot capacity of 650 litres and a versatile 40:20:40 rear seat folding configuration.
F-Pace comes in a five model range, starting with the Prestige, Portfolio, R-Sport, S and First Edition. The last one is a strictly limited edition model which takes its design cues from the original C-X17 concept. Just 200 will be available in the UK market.
The range has been enhanced by a special version of the F-Pace, the SVR (image 8), developed by their Special Vehicle Operations performance division. With a 44% uplift in power, the F-PACE SVR’s 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol engine produces 550PS and 680Nm, enabling it to reach 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds (0-60mph in 4.1 seconds) with a top speed of 283km/h (176mph). Unique aerodynamic features, a quad exhaust system and up to 22" wheels assist in this massive performance hike. Inside, the F-PACE SVR features slimline performance front seats that provide enhanced lateral support and have signature lozenge quilting and embossed SVR logo. OTR price starts at £74,835.
